Here is a sneak peak at our vintage wallpaper stripes, picture rail, chalkboard & ledge, pressed tin wallpaper, industrial I-Beam & weatherboard walls. The Loi Boys outdid themselves this week! The concrete driveway & entrance was poured, the stud walls for the 2nd bathroom went up & work began on the front verandah. Toni & Kim bought beautiful things at the Melbourne Gift & Homewares Fair for the fit-out & the first coat of paint finally went on! We are pushing to be open for the Halloween & Melbourne Cup High Tea which I have been busy planning!

Mr. Girot poured & finished our verandah slab on Monday morning, the Loi Boys spent the week preparing the drainage & formwork for the front entrance (despite suffering man-flu!) & David drove to Sydney to pick up the vintage windows & doors for the fit out. Our takeaway coffee cups are ready - even if everything else is still in the making!

The work continues even on the weekends. Zane, Jackson & Dallas from Magic Mud spent their Saturday finishing off the rendering, the Loi Boys came in to finish trimming windows & walls ready for plastering, Benny-Boy Simmonds threw the plaster board & put the first coat of plaster on & my hardworking honey-pie of a husband & I put the weatherboard feature walls up.

It was a big week on the building site! The existing concrete driveway was cut up & removed (Franky got to play on his favourite Tonka Toy), the electricians installed the wiring, the plumbers fit the pipes, the wiring for the audio visual & security went in & baby Harper got her first tour of the cafe!
